Julia
Simone
Julia Simone was born in Paris France, she started playing piano
at 6 years old and quickly discovered that she had another talent.
She began singing at church when she was 11 and later decided to
become a professional singer. At 16 she is already a free lance
background singer, working on studio projects and TV shows for famous
French artists such as MC Solaar, Sheila, Organiz and many more.
At 20 years old, Julia went to Boston to pursue her long time dream
to
attend Berklee College of Music. After 3 amazing years at Berklee,
she
received her Bachelor's Degree Magna Cum Laude in 2004. Julia Simone
then moved to Los Angeles where she performed Jazz and Blues in
many clubs, vocally coached actors, singers and did voice overs
for jingles and commercials. She moved back to Paris for 2 years
in 2005 where she taught voice, piano and was the choir director
at a conservatory and coached professional singers at a high profile
contemporary music school. In 2007 Julia Simone moved back to Los
Angeles and worked with Interscope Records as a vocal coach for
the new signed upcoming band The Paradiso Girls, she also collaborated
on this project with Robin Antin and Gerardo Mejia (Rico Suave).
Julia Simone is now back in Boston where she pursues her career
as a lead singer, background vocalist, songwriter, vocal coach and
producer.
